OUR STORY
Arabicaffè
is an Italian company operating in the sector of Coffee
Roasting.The
company was born in 1953 out of the promising idea of
three friends, Francesco Bonaccorsi, Vincenzo Musumeci
and Santo Longo, who thought of creating a high-quality
product to be introduced in the Sicilian market, to
meet a more and more growing demand from Bars and Restaurants.
Since
then, supported by the fervor of the three founding
members’ sons and in full respect of the original values
both family and management-oriented, that original intuition
has turned into today's reality of Arabicaffè. We are
talking about a dynamic booming company that produces,
works and commercializes its products on large scale,
making sure its brand to be present in Italy (Sicily,
Calabria, Piedmont) as well as at international level
(Holland, England, Germany, Switzerland, France, Spain,
Belgium, Russia, United States, Canada and China).

OUR MISSION
Our
Mission is that of perfectly matching the wish for coffee
of the most demanding palates with a product that looks
at the future with constant attention but keeps unaltered
its traditional quality. In view of a continuous development
and expansion of the core business of the company it
introduced the packaging of single-dose coffee wafers
in controlled atmosphere (to guarantee fresh coffee
like espresso and hygienically safe), plus the use of
nitrogen in all packages

OUR PRODUCING PROCESS
The
producing process starts with the accurate choice of
the green coffees of the best quality of arabica and
robusta, selected and imported directly from their countries
of origin - Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, India, Cameroon,
Congo – transiting the city of Trieste, to obtain quality
certification from authorized Bodies and Companies.
Fully
complying with current sanitary regulations, green coffees
– packed in jute bags of 60 kg each (except for the
Columbia quality which is packed in bags of 70Kg each)
– loaded on special railway carriages, reaches our couriers,
who deliver it directly to our factory in Catania, fully
in compliance with the safety-guarantee agreement.
Unloaded
from trucks coffee is immediately checked, its grains
selected and sent to our roasting machinery (240Kg capacity)
where it is roasted one type per time (in order to guarantee
the originality of the product!), at a temperature of
200/210 °C for 20 minutes. Roasting time and temperature
vary according to the harvest time and the quality of
green coffee.
Once
coffee is roasted, and lost 20/22% of its weight compared
to the green one, it is promptly air-cooled and transferred
into stocking silos by means of a suction-selector unit,
where it is left to mature for a period of about 7/10
days.
When
the product is mature it is blended (ranging from 100%
robusta and 100% Arabica) and transferred through a
conveyer belt to the packaging equipment. Ground coffee,
instead, is transferred to industrial coffee grinders
and then packaged.
In
both cases, stocked products are ready to be shipped.

AGREEMENT
Firmly
oriented towards guaranteeing constant support to each
one of our customers, we offer advising and assistance
through a specialized customer care centre within our
company, that can help about the choice of equipment
(coffee machines, grinder-dispensers, pot-washers, etc…)
that best meet each customer’s demand.
Towards
this target, upon a meticulous and accurate selection
of the best producing companies, we have made trade
agreements with well-known companies at national and
international level. The same companies guarantee us
a capillary coverage for the assistance and maintenance
of the equipment both in Italy and abroad.
